Speaking of music systems - get the newer ones with the USB and iPod input. Costs you an extra grand or two but so totally worth it. With a 4 GB USB dirve costing less than a grand, its much better than a CD/DVD. More music, lower maintenance, no scratching or CDs, and no track jumps when you hit a pothole.

Thanks for reminding me Pratik. I have actually used Tableau and found it very powerful and flexible. In my opinion, it is good value for money. Unfortunately, it is very tough to convince management to invest in a product that only makes charts look good, and nothing else. Still, I think a professional option beats spending hours on a generic software customizing charts.

Man, seriously. Need a better solution that excel. I will check out the solutions you posted. I found a non-freeware aka commercial software to be pretty good at pivot tables + charts known as tableau.

Thanks for the recommendations RD. I'd second Goyal, PHD comics is really good. Unfortunately, I dont read any of these (my RSS feeds include Garfield, Calvin and Hobbes, Basic Instructions, XKCD only). Basic Instructions was nice initially, but I dont get time to read it nowadays. I only hope I will get more time and certain restrictions at the workplace will be removed. I shall come back to this page and check out your recommendations, ONLY THEN!

Hi Helgesdk. I wish I could post a video of me scrolling in Firefox, but the framerates of videos will not do justice. To be honest, the scrolling is not as perfect as when I scroll in Windows... then again, it is very acceptable and not worth complaining about the driver for. It is WAY WAY better than without using the driver. That was a nightmare!

How do you classify "scroll issues"?
I've tried for many hours now, but Firefox scrolling is far from smooth when I run Compiz.
If you start compiz from a terminal, along the lines, does it say something like
"Trying again with indirect rendering"?

Restricted format support (mp3, divx, wmv, dvd) etc. is not built in, but the moment you double click on any file, the default media player will ask you if you want to install it, and then does so painlessly. Alternatively - do what I do - install VLC (http://www.videolan.org) to take care of all your audio-visual needs. I recommend that even for windows.
